- Fractionated Coconut Oil: Odourless, colourless, and stays liquid at room temperature, making it ideal for rollerballs. It also has a long shelf life.
- Apricot Kernel Oil: A light and gentle oil, great for sensitive skin.
Safety First! Always perform a patch test on a small area of skin before applying a new blend more widely. A good starting point for dilution is 2-3% essential oil in your chosen carrier oil (that’s about 6-9 drops of essential oil per 10ml rollerball). Avoid using essential oils internally without guidance from a qualified aromatherapist. Also, be mindful of specific contraindications for certain essential oils, especially if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or have underlying health conditions.
Crafting Customized Rollerball Blends: My Favourite Recipes

- 5 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 3 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
- 1 drop Frankincense Essential Oil
- Top up with Jojoba Oil in a 10ml rollerball.
Apply to temples, wrists, and back of the neck for a calming effect.

- 4 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
- 3 drops Lavender Essential Oil
- 2 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
